What happens at the Test Site
Close attention should be paid to instructions given by the EPA test proctor. Before the test session, the candidate should have read the instructions in the Applicant Study Guide for filling out the answer card. Instructions will be given by the proctor on how to properly mark the answer cards and on how to enter mailing information correctly, but the candidate should be familiar with it prior to the session. Participants at the EPA test site typically are allowed a non-programmable pocket calculator, Temperature-Pressure chart, and a pencil. A Temperature-Pressure chart is supplied in the EPA Section 608 Applicant Study Guide. Also, a practice "Recovery Efficiency" chart is provided on the back of the Temperature-Pressure chart. On the day of the test, recreate the chart as soon as you are given the instructions to begin the test. Test sites will have adequate seating and work areas.
